UX designer who loves visual storytelling and stealth video games

You can call me Devon. I'm a designer in California currently working for Psyonix Studios on Rocket League.

Oh, and that logo? Well, I like to think it sums me up pretty well. Here's what that's about:
bee2

THE WORKER BEE

Displayed around the city of Manchester where my family hails from, symbolizing the workforce behind the city's roots and success.  Work hard. Work together. The reality is that I've worked retail for all of my professional life. It has both humbled me, and shaped me into a worker with patience and resolve. I take what I've learned as Operations Expert at Apple and apply it to all design projects.

sword

THE SWORD

Now I may not be a pointy-eared Hyrulean set off to take down Ganondorf, or a royal protector in Dunwall looking to save the empire from its enemies, but every protagonist has their tools, right? As a designer, I've got plenty, and while none of them are in the shape of a sword, I still carry them with me through my own exciting journey and not without the skills I've sharpened over time to wield them. Decision quality, problem solving, and dealing with ambiguity are only a few of what I consider sword-bearing.

Here's some of my most recent work. While I can't show the details of these designs, I'm happy to discuss them.
